I don't like renewing my Xbox Live membership because I have to pay for it but you get what you payed for.

The Xbox Live Arcade is definitely worth checking out especially to those old school Rare fans out there.
XBLA have both Banjo Kazooie and Tooie. Perfect Dark recently hit the service about a couple week ago. Sadly, we'll never see these on the VC. Also these aren't just some N64 ports. The games can be played on HD! (No durr, capt. obvious) and the controls have been updated to work better with the 360's controller.

I'll also give this thread a heads up on 'Free Gold Weekends' (You can play online even if you have a Silver membership)
Note: They only do this when they're feeling generous or whenever they feel like it.

Xbox 360 = my favorite console of its time so far.

Just look at my backlog for the games I've played. I still haven't beaten Tales of Vesperia... Curse you new games!
I remember when I first got my 360. (Before that one broke.....) (lol) I only played Halo 2 on it until I got Call of Duty 2. Even then I was like. Ew no more Halo 2 please. xD

Anyway, I think its all worth it.

Oh and for Final Fanasy XIII, you have no clue how happy I was to learn it was going to be multi-platform

But I don't have a 360, I play on Games for Windows LIVE.

Games for Windows LIVE works too. You can sign in on someone else's 360 and make an avatar etc. The best part is that you can play online for free. The recently released games also have achievements like BioShock 2 and DiRT 2.

@Tony Halo 2 is really fun online. It had a better match making than the other games. Also is FFXIII worth getting on the 360? I'll probably wait for the price to go down.

By the way, did you guys try Game Room?

Game Room is an interesting concept. Too bad you have to pay for the games.

Yeah FF XIII is really good so far! I'd recommend it for 360 for the purpose of achievements. (I tend to horde them xD)

The graphics look nice too, so if you're a fan of the series, you'd like XIII. (Except for Hope... I hate him)

Gears of War 3 has been confirmed. A trailer was just released yesterday. It's gonna be EPIC.

@Tony yes there is a female character in Gears 3. Did you pay attention to the trailer? She hands Dom a Lancer.

Dom is going to awesome in this one. You can't go wrong with that beard.

So I've been playing some Sega Rally lately, as well as Pac-Man: Championship Edition on that 2nd Arcade Compilation Disc.

So far, I like both games quite a bit, Sega Rally's controls are a bit too loose for me and slightly hard to control (So much Oversteer) but once you get the hang of it, it's a good game. As for Pac-Man, firstly, I thought the compilation disc would be more like the XBLA Unplugged compilation, so It surprised me to see the original 360 Menu designs when I loaded it up. As for the game itself, I have to say I'm impressed. Certainly feels like a fresh change to the old game.

I know I'm 3 years late to the scene (On Both games) but who cares...

I upgraded back to Gold recently, seeing that Microsoft had a 3 Month Gold Membership 50% off Deal.

Since I have two Arcade x360s, I'm going to upgrade to that new Xbox 360 slim with gamestop

They're giving you trade in bonuses for systems, controllers, memory, and the like.

My reasoning is that the new 360 from a technical standpoint can't get the red ring, and my two arcade consoles don't have their warranty anymore and may be on their last legs.

Might as well upgrade while the deal is good
