This is an general discussion for Forum Games in this forum. You can talk about anything related to Forum Games, but I don't mind if you go off-topic thought.

I think I have an idea for an forum game that should work out well here. It's called "Mafia".

Mafia is a game where you attempt to find mafia members based on the way people act, how they behave, they way they post, etc.

The goal of the game is to either get rid of Mafia members, kill all Townie members, or in special cases, become the last standing person.

The mod of the game send out PM's to other people about their roles. For example, Vinalla Townie only have the ability to vote for other people. Mafia Goons can kill other people and so on. There will also be some rules, like for example, you cannot reveil your role PM to other people on the forum period and you may not talk to other people about the game unless your PM directly states you can.

More on this if it gets approved and when I make the first thread of Mafia games.

The reason why I proposed this is because this forum has been relatively active and playing Mafia games would only help the activity level.

Now don't worry, I won't be including all these complicating roles in the game. As a matter of fact, I'll be doing an nine-player set-up for the first Mafia game with just Townies, Mafia Goon's, Mafia Roleblocker's, Doctor's, and Cop's.

Sounds interesting but I'd wait until we have a few more members. We just got up to 13 and we should probably have at least 20 before we can get a good game of this going.

Yeah, good idea to wait. Once we hit about twenty, then depending on the reaction, I'll make the game. Trust me, it'll be a lot of fun.

Regarding the set-up, I've officially decided as of now, there will be seven or nine players in the game. I'm leaning towards seven, but if there is enough demand, I might increase it to nine.

@Ninty: Sounds interesting, I'll particapate in it if you make a thread.

@kowwmann: Since you did report on having experience with real-life Mafia, I'll put you in as an SE (Semi-Experience). More on that later.
