Nintendo Wii
This is an general discussion for games, product, peripheals, etc regarding the Nintendo Wii. Discuss all about it here. Of course you can make other threads regarding the Wii's games, product, peripheals and other stuff, but this is just a general discussion.

What I'm currently playing/wanting
I'm currently playing No More Heroes 2 and Tatsunoko vs. CAPCOM.
Wanting to download LW2 and SMRPG. Wanting Trauma Team when it comes out in May, and
Metroid: Other M when it comes out in June.

Really wish I have Tatsunko Vs. Capcom. I was dying in anticapation for that game. Oh well, I'm probably going to get a job in a few weeks, so prehaps I can scrap up some cash to buy the game soon after.

Not to be a noob, but what is LW2? I will say that Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars is a brillant game. I love the game with a passion and is my favorite RPG game so far. I'm also looking forward to Metroid: Other M.

Let me clarify
LW2 is LostWinds 2.
I REALLY enjoyed the first one, but the second one is supposed to be even better and longer.

Thanks for informing me anyway. Hopefully, I'll be able to understand it next time I come across that initial.

Re: Nintendo Wii
I'm replaying Metroid Prime. Not the Trilogy, the Gamecube version.
I just raided a space pirate base, killed my first metroid in game, and now I'm stuck on a boss battle against a giant rock monster.
Never heard of a giant rock monster before. I mean, they've only been in millions of different games.
Haven't played an actual Wii game recently though. -gets shot-

CANNOT WAIT FOR LAST STORY!
I'm really pumped for The Last Story. I'm so glad Sakaguchi decided to put it on the Wii. This will be the first console game that I shall pick up on Day 1.
I haven't been playing my Wii much (and all other consoles), but I still need to finish Radiant Dawn. Kind of wish the support conversations were better and the game wasn't broken into parts, but overall still a great game (better than Shadow Dragon at least...)

Re: Nintendo Wii
There are actually a lot of games that I'm looking forward to get. I'll list some of them:
Monster Hunter Tri
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Zelda Wii 2
Metroid: Other M
The Last Story
Xenoblade
Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands (Depending if they don't mess up the Wii version)
Epic Mickey
And more.

Nintendoh Weee!
I almost forgot about Epic Mickey.
Also, the Prince of Persia game that's coming out is actually called Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands. It's being developed for the Wii, 360, PS3, and PSP. It's still a part of the Sands of Time timeline.
I'm really looking forward to SMG2 and Metroid: Other M but I doubt I'll have the money to buy them.

Re: Nintendo Wii
I'm not interested in Galaxy 2. Thats what I have Galaxy 1 for.
Besides Other M, the other Wii title I really want is Trauma Team. Excited about all it offers and its now only $40...when it comes out in May.
/pouts at waiting an extra month

Trauma Team
I just love Atlus. Pricing Trauma Team at 40 was a good idea. I just might pick it up because of the price.
I only have the first game (which I have only played very little of), so I'm really interested in how it works on the Wii.
btw: I hope Nintendo hurries up and starts up the golden discount line that they have in Japan. I would be much more willing to give a few other games a try if they were around 20 dollars. (What can I say, I'm a bargain hunter! xD )

Same here. I buy a lot of games, but I rarely pay full price.
Re: Nintendo Wii
Some good news! It seems like more companies are going to be pricing Wii games at the 39.99 price point. Arc Raise Fantasia is now available for pre-order at Amazon for that price. I'm hoping that nice pre-order bonus goes up on Amazon.ca with that nice price because I'm really tempted but the 10 dollar shipping fee is really deterring me right now.
I also hope Ignition does a better job with Fantasia. I've heard their translations were not up to par in Lux-Pain (which caused me to pass over the game, but now I'm thinking of picking it up again) and Muramasa.

Re: Nintendo Wii
I kind of feel responsible since I mentioned it, but I came across an article on Siliconera about Arc Raise Fantasia's voice acting. To put it bluntly, it is horrible. To see for yourself, check out the article below with embedded videos:

It really is too bad because it looks like a solid RPG. I'm still thinking of picking it up but for a bargain price (20-25 dollars).

Thanks for the link and for saving me the money of possibly getting this.
Re: Nintendo Wii
@Donth: I love that satisfied feeling when you know that money was well spent.
@Admin: no problem. I'm really upset that Marvelous gave the right to Ignition instead of XSeed. Ignition seems to be ruining a lot of games.
First Lux-Pain, which I heard the translation was riddled with weird sentences and typos. Which might be bearable in most genres, but this is a visual novel!!
Second, I heard that Muramasa's translation was very dry and there were lines that weren't even translated.
Third, Nostalgia seems to suffer the same fate as Muramasa in that the translation was too literal and dry. Although, considering it wasn't as bad as the two above and Fantasia, this one seems to be the only passable localization by Ignition.
And now ARF joins the list of games ruined by Ignition. Damn Ignition, don't you dare touch another game I'm interested it!

Re: Nintendo Wii
Muramasa was a little confusing in its script, although I think that's more because of the abundance of Japanese names, etc. and how the story would only kind of make sense to its native audience (who heard the tales of the Red Ogre and the Blue Ogre, etc.) to begin with.
I had no problems with Nostalgia, really liked it.

Wow, the voice acting for Arc Rise Fanatasia does sound horrible.

Re: Nintendo Wii
So they translated all the text/spoken words? I've heard people saying that the voices were saying something else. :/Adminassassin wrote:Muramasa was a little confusing in its script, although I think that's more because of the abundance of Japanese names, etc. and how the story would only kind of make sense to its native audience (who heard the tales of the Red Ogre and the Blue Ogre, etc.) to begin with.
And it wasn't dry? well, I guess Muramasa wouldn't be too bad. I'm pretty familiar with Japanese culture, did my own research plus anime, so it shouldn't be too difficult for me. Actually, I'm just a folklore, mythology nut in general. xD
Ogre = Oni right?
My only reservation would be whether I would like this game. I didn't quite like Odin Sphere, but that's because I thought it was too button mashy and repetitive. It was pretty though and the story was interesting, so I do plan on giving it another try.
Yeah, this looks like their only decent localization. Price tag is keeping me away atm, but I do plan to pick this one up sooner or later.Adminassassin wrote:I had no problems with Nostalgia, really liked it.
