Nintendo 64
This is an general discussion thread of the Nintendo 64. Anything related can go in here.
I absolutely love the system with a passion. It is an excellent console with some of the best games of all-time. I really do hope that we see more N64 support on the Virtual Console.
I'm hoping to get an N64 this summer and start building up a collection to replace the old one that died.

Ah those are the days
The n64 was my first console...unforcutunately, I was late to the party and only had it and about 8 games for a year or so before the Gamecube was out. See my BL under N64 and VC for my N64 titles.

I also had my relatively late in the N64 lifespan (Christmas of 1999 at my grandparents house), so don't feel bad.
So, what did you think of those games?

fav console of all time
According to my bl I have more top rated games on N64 than any other console, 2 great Zeldas, the revolutionary Mario 64, my 2 fav 3D platformers ever the Banjo games, and Rares excellent FPS, to me N64 is when Rare reached its peak, and 3D gaming really took off, all companies introduced anolog, after its succes on N64, thanks to VC I can enjoy some great imports too, Paper Mario & Ogre Battle 64 awesome games.

@kowwaman: The original Super Smash Bros. is amazing. That game introduced me to the series and it remains as my favorite video game series. And as a big obvious, the series is also my favorite.
@Reala: Paper Mario did get released in Europe, but I heard it was hard to find. But other then that, I agree, this is where Nintendo games was at it's peak.

I had an N64, yeah. I love it, but not nearly as much as my SNES...but games like SM64, LoZ:OoT, Pokemon Stadiums 1&2, DK64, Mario Tennis, Diddy Kong Racing, Paper Mario...yes. :3

Re: Nintendo 64
I have to confess something..I never really liked the Nintendo 64, even though it has some really good games. Majora's Mask happens to be my favorite N64 game and also the best Zelda for me.

Re: Nintendo 64
Never had one, but my cousins did. I used to go over to their house *just* to play it. I tried Super Mario 64, Pokemon Stadium, Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and Pokemon Snap.
I loved Snap the most out of all the games they had, probably because I wasn't too good at the other games and I loved taking pictures. They even let me borrow their N64 with Snap for March Break and I played it obsessively and beat it within that week.

SIXTY FOOOUUURR!
I had a PSone during this era but I always went to my friends house and we played Smash Bros. 64 all day. He also had LoZ: Oot, Mario 64, Wave Race 64, Diddy Kong Racing, Goldeneye, Banjo Kazooie & Tooie, and Resident Evil 2.
I've always wanted to give Conker's Bad Fur Day a try.

Re: Nintendo 64
I remember the N64 being my least favorite system. The controllers were terrible, most of the sequels to games I had previously enjoyed were terrible, I thought the graphics were incredibly awkward and lacking in the charm that Genesis/SNES had, etc. I was an unhappy kid with the N64. I stopped gaming for the most part during that time period.
