Pokemon White & Black

The official names Pokemon Black and White was just announced not too long ago and I want to know what you guys think.
Excited for the new games? Which version are you getting? A 3DS launch title?
Do you think this is a good move on Big N's/Game Freak's part?
HeartGold and SoulSilver just came out in North America last month. Is Nintendo really in need of money that badly?

UPDATE: Not much details are revealed but 3D graphics from previous games will be revamped. It'll be far superior. A whole city/town will be in 3D. New Pokemons are added.

Also, there will be a big announcement on the 15th of April so stay tuned.

I'm not really looking forward to the fifth generation. It'll most likely be the same thing except with new graphics and new worlds. As a matter of fact, I haven't played a great Pokemon game since Pokemon Ruby & Shappire.

I think they seriously need to revamp the game completely if they expect me to buy this game or at least get the game to universally acclaimed statue.

Same for me, cept the last one I throughly enjoyed was Silver. Gen III sucked IMO and Gen IV was only baby steps.

So they need a massive revamp or I'm sitting this one out.

I'm excited. The new screenies look suhweet.

I'll probably get it at launch. Black Version.

For me, they don't have to do anything. I'll be fine with whatever. :3

Meh. I don't know what to think of Gen V yet. I'll have to wait.

N/GF keep pumping out what the have when they have it, timing? eh, not so much, they go with the flow

nintendo doesn't need money, they want it, and whatever can get it for them they'll go with...

hopefully nintendo will keep working her way back to the red/blue generation in storyline darkness and depth... (baby steps, indeed admin, baby steps indeed...) please people back me up on this they need it, it's becoming rather "cute"...

Hm. I don't like the speed with which these are coming out the door. I can understand why they want to get them out so fast if the above is true, but I still don't like it because it means there have only been minor improvements.

Yet, I know I'll be getting one of them, day one, as usual. Pokemon has my soul.
Still unsure of which version I want. I like the color black a bit more than white, but I'm going to see what sort of version exclusives there are before I decide 100% on which version I shall be picking up.

I also hope they think of more interesting names next time.

The only game less dark storywise is Gold/Silver/Crystal. Ruby/Sapphire had people wanting to destroy everything by increasing land/ocean mass, making the planet uninhabitable.

And if you won't take that, Diamond/Pearl featured a guy who wanted to REWRITE THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE IN HIS OWN IMAGE.

The Pokemon designs themselves are a lot cuter, yes, but that's because Red/Blue is just ugly. :3

The 3rd version will likely be called 'Gray' but that doesn't mean Pink, Teal, and Orange won't be considered.

Gold/Silver/Crystal/HG/SS was the most dark because you had team rocket grunts jumping you and stealing your money! Come on, it doesn't get worse than that! (unless they make a game about you being a rocket member stealing pokemons from trainers).

Yeah, I was surprised at the dialogue in D/P/P. Cyrus fully stated he want to turn the world to nothing and recreate it. Compared to R/S/E that was a step up in evil-ness.

Actually, why was Aqua/Magma evil? All they wanted was too give their type of pokemon more space to live. Seems pretty goody-goody to me.

I don't mind cute designs. I just don't want really weird ones. That evolved mon they released looks weird. sigh. game freak, simple is best.

Even if the intentions were good, messing with the balance of nature and that kinda hippie crap always does the planet something fierce. Thank god for Captain Mullet.

I'm pretty bummed to hear there is an exclusive area for each version now. I refuse to buy the same game twice! (....guess I'll have to "borrow" my bro's copy and check out the area I'll be missing out on).

White version has "White Forest" and Black version has "Black/Dark City".

Still getting White though.

Most likely getting neither. Gen III failed for me and Gen IV was underwhelming. I only bought SS because its a remake of Gen II, my favorite. I most likely am done with the series for good.

Sadly, this could have been remedied (IMHO, maybe) if Nintendo weren't such money w^%#es and made seperate versions, and just had each increment, with multiple save files. (Thus, Pocket Monsters I, II, III, IV, and now V.) But still, changes are needed and the new ones are lame. (IMHO)
