Tales series
A forum isn't a forum without a Tales topic.
Anyone who plays the series? I've only played Phantasia, but it's like my favorite yet.

I love Tales~
I love the series...I find the melding of tradition JRPG exploration with a fast-paced and action-packed battle system to be irresistable.
I started with the fantastic Tales of Symphonia on the Gamecube, and it quickly became one of my all-time favorites. So far I've played that, ToS: Dawn of the New World, and the GBA version of Tales of Phantasia.
Crossing my fingers that Tales of Graces comes out in the West sometime, and also hoping to pick up some of the other Tales games already out as well.

Yes, the battle system is one of the best out there. And the skits in the games are really funny.
I hope I can get Symphonia one day.

Re: Tales series
Haven't played any games in the series but I'm really interested. From what I've heard, Tales of Symphonia is the best RPG for the GC so I'll go ahead and pick up a copy if I see one.
I'll also go look for Tales of Vesperia for the 360.

Tales FTW~
Man. Tales of games are the best. I love them to death!
Try to get Tales of the Abyss for the ps2 as well. Great game.
Haven't played Symphonia 2 indepth yet...
I haven't beaten Vesperia yet either, but I'm close lol.
It truly is a great series, all different from the last, (except in Symphonia's case)
and it has its funny moments. :3

I would, but importing is expensive and I'd rather support companies that actually localize DS games (not to mention I've got a big wishlist of those). But don't you worry, I shall be playing them eventually.
Re: Tales series
Some facts, lol.
Every Tales game must include at least 90% of the following:
* Male swordsman lead who uses Demon Fang
* Annoying female white mage love interest
* The following elementals: Undine/Celsius, Volt, Ifrit, Gnome, Sylph, Shadow, Rem/Luna, Origin, and Maxwell
* Villain motivated by racism
* A girl who can't cook
* A guy who is an expert cook
* Time Travel
* Hot springs
* Some kind of magical power/device that almost destroyed the world thousands of years ago
* A joke weapon for each character
* Something horribly wrong with the world map
* An optional battle against PCs from a previous Tales game
* Aifread

Re: Tales series
My birthday is coming up so I'll be looking for ToS for the GC. These games aren't hard to find I hope.

...Sounds about right.
Not so sure about the Time Travel one though. Can you give me an example of a game that it came from w/o spoiling it for others?
