PS3 General Discussion

Unless you're not playingit at all, I'd say keep the system because you won't get nearly what you'd like.

I know how that is...I have so many other things I should be doing, but here I am, sitting and thinking about how damn much I want to play Final Fantasy XIII.

...It doesn't help that I decided to listen to the soundtrack today...I've listen to exactly two songs all day today (Blinded By Light and Lightning's Theme)....and holy black on a popo, they're both amazing.

Feenie, you have to play Metal Gear Solid 4. It's freakin' good.

lol, don't worry, I'm getting that one too. That's like the game I want most behind FXIII. :3

Just played Grand Turismo 5 Prologue (Demo) at a friend's house. That game is amazing but I suck at driving simulators but I highly recommend it to any who is a fan of the genre.

I bought my yesterday. Have about five hours of Final Fantasy XIII down, one hour of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, and eight hours of downloads. D:

So far though, I'm loving it. It's a beast, a sexy sexy beast.

As of right now, I only have LBP, but I do plan on picking up a few more RPGs that have caught my eye.

Anybody want to give me any good PS3 JRPGs I could keep my eye out for?

I obviusly already have FINAL FANTASY XIII, but I can't play that for the rest of my RPG life.

I've heard the following are good:
Demon's Souls
Star Ocean: The last Hope International Edition

Demon's Soul got pretty good reviews but apparently, it's hard.

I've heard that as well about Demon Souls. Not one for your average gamer

Not an RPG per say, but Valkyria Chronicles is suppose to be really really good. It's a SRPG. I've seen a few gameplay videos and they left me drooling. It looks to be a lot of fun.

As Sora said, get Valkyria Chronicles! It's the only game I would buy a PS3 for.

Got Dark Void for the PS3 earlier. Got given £10 to buy a game and there was nothing else I was interested in.

So I picked up Folklore not too long ago. Has anyone played it? What do you think of it?

There wouldn't be anyone here who knew how to connect a PS3 to a Cisco Valet router, is there? We got the router not realizing how idiot proof it is, so it's actually kind of a pain in the ass to connect to it. There's no password; therefore, you have to use a usb thumb drive and hope it never gets lost. D: I needz my PS3 online for Sonic 4 and AC2 dlc content.

So I decided that I'll get a PS3 this time for real and this is the third time I'm saving up for it. The other two previous times failed because good games just kept coming. I did the math and if I don't spend my money once from now till December, I should have more than enough to get a 250GB Slim during the holidays.

Anyone know any good tips on how to NOT SPEND MY MONEY?

1) Have a BL.
2) Keep it updated.
3) When you see games you want to buy, say "I should wait, I already have all those games that I haven't beaten yet."
4) Add, "plus, this game is not as awesome as a ps3."

@Admin 1. I do have a BL but that's also one of the main reasons why I've been spending my money to "expand my collection"
2. Yes I'll keep it updated.
3. I'll do that too. I have 30+ unfinished games and a quite a lot of games I want to replay. Also, marathons like RPGFest keep me focused.
4. Cheap and used games are not as awesome as a PS3. Upcoming high profile games are not as awesome as a PS3. Being generous to my lady friends is not as awesome as a PS3. Cheesecakes are not as awesome as a PS3. Biscuits are not as awesome as a PS3. Giving money to hobos is not as awesome as a PS3. Donating to charity is not as awesome as a PS3.
