I haven't phased out the old profile yet. I'm trying to add stuff to Valentine still and haven't begun adding friends to it (a few already knew anyway). I intend to add everyone on my old profile that seems to be active still I'll eventually add you over to the new one. for whatever reason, this isnt currently possible on BL.
and shes changing profiles for personal reasons.

What the admin said! ;D Really, I don't mind saying long-story short: my username is too unique and one of my exs knows it. You can let your imagination do the rest, though I've had no issue through BL (probably too obscure right now).

I actually asked Drumble a month ago about name-changing and the answer I got was that he would consider making it possible in the future. I get the impression that he'd rather not get into it because it would leave your old username available for trolls and more likely confusion.

Yeah that does sound like the reason since in his changeloggery post he mentioned deleted accounts will never be 100% gone to prevent impersonating. He could make it possible via PMing him (with new username and reason for the change) but that would certainly give him more work then he probably wants. I'm pretty satisfied with my current username and I'm using it in most places now (just a few places like Photobucket where the hassle of changing my username isn't worth it because I only use it to post pictures elsewhere). But I certainly understand the need for the feature since in the past I've wanted to change my username a few times until I settled on soaring_wings.
