Didn't have time to watch the 3rd one, it was late last night that I watched them and I had to get up for work in the morning. Will get to it soon though

I finally watched Clash of the Titans. Considering I have a hard time sitting around and focusing on a movie, I actually watched it and enjoyed it.

Did you watch the original version or the new one? I saw the new one for my birthday, was pretty good (The 3D was Sh*t though)

Re: Latest Film You watched
That's cuz it wasn't filmed to be shown in 3D. The 3D was added in post-production after the success of Avatar. (For the record, Alice in Wonderland and many other 3D films also added 3D in post-production.)
Re: Latest Film You watched
Yeah, I remember hearing about that. They're only doing it for the money

Recently saw Pirates: Stranger Tides, African Cats and something else (gawww i forget) in theatres.
Pirates was decent for a no. 4 although I didnt like Penelope Cruz as much as I thought I would. Too strong an accent IMO.
African Cats was a pretty good docudrama.

I watched Planet Terror (for the first time) yesterday. It was pretty good! It's no wonder House of the Dead: Overkill drew inspiration from this movie.

Okay, this might sound odd, but the latest episode of South Park was totally unusual.

I didn't see it for myself, but I heard the last South Park episode seems like the creators are giving up on it. At least they can admit that South Park's been sucking lately.

I saw that episode as well. I didn't think South Park's been that bad lately, just hasn't stood out as much. I can understand why they'd want to end it now though, it's been 15 years but they do have a contract for 2 more seasons so whether this really is the end has me in doubt really.

Re: Latest Film You watched
I saw Super 8 released today in IMAX, full experience~ I've been following it for a very long time, I had VERY high expectations set ever since the first preview released so long ago~ I can say very happily... Lived. Up. Fully. to my expectations~ An absolutely brilliant film~ It's fully a love letter to Spielberg and in which... I do believe also he blushed~ (Spielberg X Abrams~ OHGAWD Giving fujoshis yaoi ideas~)
Being serious... The film had so much charm, a beautiful message to it all and such~ It's a very enthralling experience~ At times it's very emotional with the actors/actress who play each of their character roles so well & uniquely throughout~ At times very humorous, I found myself laughing really hard, and while many don't seem to take a liking to the humor added dialogue in an intense and frightening situation, I can't help but feel (If this makes ANY sense) it was done right in Super 8 when the humor was added in some serious scenes~ It isn't often done and it by no means interferes with any intensity placed~ The music is memorable, loveable, fits so well with each and every scene (I honestly think~)~ Kudos to Michael Giacchino for the OST~ Such an outstanding composer~ Not giving much away, but there's a feel of two stories to all this~ The mainly shown,(Monster) and another side~ Revolving around the children themselves~ I will say the thrilling and action sequences are quite memorable~ (Specially the shown in previews train crash~ See that baby fully and YOUR. JAW. WILL. DROP~) Not much to say (Well... There's too much to say~ And I wanna spoil so badly) but... It's really such an excellent film, I have almost no problems with it~ The movie his much to offer in style and substance~ The style is completely original, and the substance is a mixture of almost flawless previously created material (Movies) meshed together for an almost flawless result~ It's... The Goonies + Jaws + Bambi + E.T. + Stand By Me + Close Encounters Of The Third Kind + Cloverfield~ That basically = Super 8~ Cinematography: Flawless~ Story: Great~ Characters development/acting: almost flawless~ OST: Fantastic~ Movie overall: Just... A fantastic film that surely earns a spot in my top 20 films of all time~ J.J. Abrams has earned my respect~ And I do in fact believe he is capable of being the next "Spielberg"~ On a scale of 1 to 10... 9.5/10~ Lived up fully to my expectations~
(Btw... DAT MONSTER! HIS LOOK~) Oh boy~ Cloverfield 2, 2014~ WOOT~ xD

Re: Latest Film You watched
Thanks for the Super 8 impressions, I might look into that now.
I just saw "Flipped," a cute mostly-family friendly movie about a boy and a girl who grow up across the street who fall in and out of love, and have very different perspectives on whats going on between and around them. Highly recommended.

Re: Latest Film You watched
I watched Hachi: A Dog's Tale (American remake of an 80's Japanese film, based off a true story) earlier today and as dog lover, I can honestly say that I've never been so moved to tears by a single film like that. It's a great film that I'd recommend to both dog lovers and general drama fans but I'm glad I watched it alone lol. The director also did this other canine film which was highly acclaimed, called "My Life As A Dog" in the 80's so I may have to watch that as well

Re: Latest Film You watched
Yeah, it does get very emotional. Only other thing I'll say is, be prepared.
There are two things which can get to me in films, one is showing the whole life of someone (Can't place my finger on why) and the other is stuff based off real-life (Depends on the type of story though) in some capacity, like Grave Of The Fireflies (Only other film I've cried at). This is gonna be stuck in my head for days
