This has to be one of the best remixes ever. It's for the Dire Dire Docks theme from SM64.

Re: Great Video Game Music
As I have said elsewhere, Final Fantasy VI and XIII have some of the best music I have heard in awhile. Most FF games have great music in general.
Etrian Odyssey Super Arrange is also amazing, as is the original music. I think the third stratum has the best super arrange and in game music. It's called "Thousand year old Blue Woodlands"
original: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QEZoyjafsu0
Super Arrange Version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sSjF9OJa0G8
I also really like this string version of it as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2jrTPtmzS0E
Odin Sphere also had some terrific music, as did both Luminous Arc games. I liked FFTA2's music as well.
Also, I really like the new arrangement for the national park and ruins of alph in Pokemon SS/HG. I thought they were really well done.

^ This.
Although, video game music should have different genres in that genre.
Like for example; The Victory Fanfare from FF 1-XII, or FF XIII's
Actually that's a terrible example.
YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN. D:

@Ninty: that's is a really nifty battle theme. I like it, especially the mix of electric and guitar. Thanks for sharing it.

No More Heroes has some pretty good songs.
My favorites are Pleather for Breakfast, Stop Hanging DJs, Rocket Surgeon, and We Are Finally Cowboys.

I don't know what you people think, but the following track could make your nose bleed, or something like that.

Wow, that is one amazing piece of music. I love how there are so many different genres interwoven into this one piece: electric, rock, and orchestral. Again, Ninty, thanks for sharing!
Re: Great Video Game Music
These two are my favorties right now.
Hyrule Castle from A Link to the Past
(The orchestrated one sounds even awesomer this so needs to be in the next Zelda: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uWNTs3zWuEc&feature=related)
Molgera Battle from Wind Waker

I really like this song. Too bad it only plays at the very beginning.

I've been playing Deathmatch mode in No More Heroes 2 lately and I gotta say, Rank 4's theme Phillistine is pretty catchy.
Re: Great Video Game Music
I've just found this and in my opinion, this should have been the Victory Theme in Persona 3.
