3DS
I'm totally getting one.
I have no interest in 3D really, but the capabilities and game line-up are outstanding.

Agreed. I can't wait.
The price tag will probably be a little steep, but it sounds so cool!

Re: 3DS
I'm definitely getting one. The first game footage I saw for it was Kid Icarus: Uprising. 'Pretty impressive for a handheld game' was what I had in mind till I recently saw the new trailer for Resident Evil: Revelations. HOLY ****! Also the images for Metal Gear Solid: The Nude Sample is like the original MGS3 but with next-gen graphics.
@Tony yeah the prize is going to be up there but it shouldn't be a problem is one starts saving up...NOW!

Re: 3DS
I'm extremely curious as to how much it'll cost. I agree that 3d isn't my kinda thing, but I've seen some of the videos (not the best indication), but it's quite different than I expected.
I hope RE Revelations turns out pretty well. That and Kid Icarus are my big titles out of this new handheld!

Re: 3DS
Let us all not forget that they're probably going to be doing so many remakes
It'll probably cost me over $1k when the 4DS comes out

Re: 3DS
They seriously are remaking/porting everything to that system. I was reading an article about how they want to bring so many NES games over to the 3ds. I dunno that I'd pay for them again since they still work and play well on my NES.

Re: 3DS
3D is optional so I'll still buy it.
I wish they'd focus more on new games and sequels intead of remakes. The only remakes I'm really interested in are MGS:TNS and Kingdom Hearts, if the latter is even a remake.

Re: 3DS
I shall be getting one since I am addicted to handhelds. :3
My only dilemma is whether I should wait for the Lite version of the 3DS. decision, decisions.

Re: 3DS
The prize and release date of the console will be announced in less than a month.
Any speculations?
I'm hoping it will cost around $200-$250.

Re: 3DS
I doubt I'll be able to get it launch day. (I WISH!!!)
I have heard of the steep price, but I'm sure G-stop will have deals or something

Re: 3DS
Considering I now have every current-gen system (including handhelds except PSP) I may hold off until the lite version. It'll be tough, though.
Re: 3DS
Seems like Nintendo lowered the price on all DSi models recently. So I guess it's coming soon and possibly cheaper than everyone thinks ($199 is my guess).
Since I still have a bunch of DS games I want to pick up, I'll probably be holding off on purchasing one until the Lite revision, or they release something that I won't be able to resist.

Re: 3DS
The Lite version probably won't come out for at least a year. Who knows. They might even make a 3DSi version

But won't 3DS have a camera and DSWare support already in the first iteration? I wonder what they would add to the DSi? Maybe make it bigger like the XL, or add phone support?! lol.
Re: 3DS
Might as well call it the 3DSphone.

Phone support? Like Apple making the iPhone?
haha, exactly. Since Nintendo keeps denying they are competing with Apple when it's obvious they are; DSi, really Nintendo, can't you make it any more obvious?!
Oh, sorry Donth. I didn't catch that that was sarcasm. ^///////////^
Re: 3DS
Now that I think about it. A 2-in-1 ain't a bad idea. It's more convenient. You can still play your 3DS games while receiving text messages from your friends.
Re: 3DS
March 2011 for NA and EU and looking at $250-300 (my guess is 250 or 280).
Cannot. wait. looks. godly.

Re: 3DS
Eh, what makes or breaks the deal for me is region lock. If I can't play the inevitable amazing future Japanese-exclusive titles, that'll be disappointing. Obviously the shop will be region locked but meh. DSi being region-locked is ridiculous, why can you play DSi-enhanced games region free on a DS/Lite but not on an i? For example, I need my Pokemon fix before Spring '11 and was hoping to play it on the massive DSi XL to highlight all the gorgeous new 3D...I hardly blame people for turning to flashcards/similar things. Going back to a featureless hinge-cracked DS Lite that (literally) slaps you in the face after half a year of high quality massive screens is truly horrid.
But yeah, the 3DS VC sounds promising. 3D support for (some) classic titles. Hmmm...

Terra wrote:Nintendo have always been more trend setters than followers. I doubt we'll ever see a 3DSPhone but I remember awhile ago that the guys who developed Skype said that Skype could work on a DSi, let alone a 3DS, so fingers crossed?
Actually does not Pokemon Black and White have a similar feature? I've heard it's suppose to have a video chat, which obviously works only with the i models.
Terra wrote:So I take it you guys have seen the latest news? A Virtual Handheld for the console, the ability to transfer DSiWare games from the DSi to the 3DS (Which has limitations though), Mii's, Mega Man Legends 3, another Resident Evil game on the system and Feb 26th launch in Japan. Nothing official on price or release dates for the US/EU. But It's gonna be awesome, no question.
AWESOME!
I like all those features!! The fact that you can transfer your digital games has restored my faith in Digital-only content and I'll be sure to actually try some DSWare titles and WiiWare titles now. (I've been in a sort of internal conflict whether I would need to re-buy these games later and if therefore I should even bother picking up any digital download titles. So I put off buying any until I had less of a backlog, but now I'm going to have no excuse. xD )
Not really a Mega Man or RE fan (never played any of them, don't hurt me), but I've become interested in RE. :3

Yeah I really hope this doesn't happen either. I don't import, but I may have to for Last Window. If that ever happens again with a 3DS game, I would certainly like the option to be able to import a version of the game that is in English. > >
